Bilblag Bloggins

AVE CAESAR- I mean, hey guys welcome to another episode of This Is Text, the premier blogging series for Offy-D Corp. By the way, I might one day need to actually incorporate the channel operations so that I can be a tax dodger and more freely commit libel, so shall I just call it Offy-D Corp? I mean, the guys who made PurePwnage called their company 'ROFLMFAO Productions', and they got a damn TV show and movie deal! Maybe something like "You are now aware that you need to blink productions"?

Company name and logo confirmed?

Right, so this month the progress towards a new series has continued, following on from what I mentioned in the list last. Basically it's ready to start production as soon as Nariko's Treasure finishes, which will be in a couple of weeks I reckon. Since making it will take less time than Nariko's Treasure, I will have more time to either fast track Fields of Mars or make 'something else' - PIRATE ADVENTURES PERHAPS? The only thing stopping me from making my dreamed-of 'truth' series about pirates is I can't be bothered to install Empire Total War, the game it will be set it. One day...

Title card for the new series, by the glorious V Carbin Illustrations!

Not all that much been happening aside from that. I guess I should mention that I've plotted out the vague plan for an ending for Nariko's Treasure at last, right before I actually need it! The main question was how to come up with a plausible plot that would also result in the final episode having some slightly interesting gameplay. Still haven't totally solved that issue, but getting there. I will say no more for now...

I've also finished a secret LP series for patrons which I will finish uploading soon, then make available via my secret patron treasure stash. It's not actually very good, which is why I'm very happy indeed to keep it secret, but it may be of some interest to true Offy-D disciples, let's put it that way. I've got more planned, but I only had time to make this last one because I had filmed my Pokemon TIC so far in advance that it gained me extra recording time recently. I've just started a new Europa Universalis TIC series (started recording it that is), so if I can edit up a load of those over the next week or two I should have time for more secret antics. Don't know why I'm writing all this here. How much detail do you want from these blogs?! I'll probably wash my hair later, that'll be good. I often think of Nariko's Treasure plot details while washing my hair. So it's relevant to mention. Best time to work things out is while underwater, that's what I say. Damn I forgot this paragraph isn't a YouTube video; don't need to pad it out to get more ad money. I don't do that by the way. For videos that is. For paragraphs, certainly.

Errrr.... memes?

irresistable

There's also been more great progress on the best video game of all time: ICE EMBLEM! Actually I've called it 'Godless Tactics' right now, selected from a list of other potential names that I might switch around at some point. I'm determined to give it a name that implies its genre in some way (e.g. 'tactics'), since I think that's a great way to actually reach a relevant audience by title alone - and on something like Steam, title alone is often the most exposure you'll get to most people. The 'Godless' part is lore related, but that's all WIP since I haven't really established the full lore of the game world yet. But I HAVE created a document called 'Lore' and written 'Lore' in bold at the top, so that's most of the work done already. I have worked out details of languages in the world though - it has two languages based on english and french respectively. Much more on that to come in the future, no doubt.

truthe

Anyway, it now has a somewhat functional world map scene with lots of exciting menus and the skeleton of the AI and gameplay ready to go. Approaching the point where I will demo it in a video, and then I hope to polish it to create a 'proof of concept' demo for the game design as a whole, in which a short portion of the game is vaguely playable to show how the whole thing will eventually work. Kinda like when FF15 had the 'episode duscae' demo, only I will probably still have MS Paint-tier graphics.

Here look at the exciting equipment and shop screens I made - they took a while! And note the psuedo-future-french names for the party members! (party names are chosen randomly as start of game, but you can rename them).

You can buy and sell things!

Also featuring square-ass tooltips (can't see mouse in these shots).

You can equip things!

Right, I mean is the any other news, really? Last time I ranted about the channel growing slowly - it sped up to 'expected' level for like 2 weeks, but now it's gone away again. Don't really know why - it was never this random before, you'd always get the same stats each week on average. YouTube probably playing with things again. Still no money after the adpocolypse, and the hope that it will come back as many predicted it would is now looking very slim. What, you want me to get a real job? I'm CEO of "You are now breathing manually Productions" dammit, I don't have time for that!

Sorry for the lack of memes in this post. I'll dump some irrelevant ones in anyway. Have a good June!
